Mitzvah Day 2025

Mitzvah Day was started in 2005 in memory of USH member Jeffrey Gardner z"l, who died in the attack on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.
This year we have four projects on Mitzvah Day, but there is a way to help RIGHT NOW. 
Collection bin in the USH Lobby now through Mitzvah Day!

1. Donate School-appropriate autumn and winter clothing for children (size 2T+) & teens for the Hoboken Emergency Food Pantry. of client families. Items must be freshly laundered and gently used, with no holes/rips or stains. 
   Also collecting clothing for uniforms for Hoboken middle school students: khaki pants; navy or gray sweatpants; white, navy, yellow or gray shirts. Leggings for girls.
   For Hoboken High School students: khaki pants; blac or gray sweatpants; black, white or red collared shirts; plain T-shirts with no designs. Leggings for girls. 
2. Donate reusable shopping bags to pack the clothing for the Food Pantry. Must be clean -- we are putting clothing in them.
