History
As the only Synagogue in Hoboken, New Jersey, today the United Synagogue of Hoboken gives living expression to over 135 years of Jewish settlement in our community.
The Star of Israel community is both old and youthful at the same time; we represent the survival of a local Jewish community and an historic house of worship. It's what makes us different.
Our building, the Star of Israel, has become an integral part of our community. In recent years, it has undergone a complete renovation and it continues to be beautified by our volunteers.
