Wednesday, August 11, 2021 • 3 Elul 5781
7:30 PM - 8:30 PM* Skills for the Gabbai (person who plays a supporting role during Torah reading) and * the REAL meaning of Torah trope Many people are aware that the melodies we use for Torah reading and other Biblical reading function as a commentary on the meaning of the passage -- but relatively few people know how this system actually works and how it can be used to help people to better understand the text of the Torah and to become better Torah readers. We'll learn the fundamentals of how the system of torah/haftarah trope operates and uncover the code of what the various trope symbols mean and how they function.
