Contemporary Israel includes many ethno-religious communities. At the example of three community-specific foods, this class explores the Russian and Iraqi experiences of Israeliness, as well as Israeli-Palestinian idenity. Recipes will be distributed before the advent of the class, and we will prepare, eat and discuss the foods and the stories behind them together.
