Cub Event - 2016 Pinewood Derby
Cubs designed and built their cars at home
Then came in to race them on our 40-foot track!
Check-In: Den Leader Terrence Richardson checked in each
Cub and his car and then assigned a number. Cars may not
weigh more than 5 ounces.
Lorraine has Veer's car. Note the track in the background.
We'll race 10 cars tonight. Darn! A couple of Cubs are out
sick tonight and will have to miss this cool event.
The Winners! Hadi (far right), Niklas, and Hudson. This
was only Hadi's second meeting as a Cub -- what a great
way to get started!
More awards: In addition to medals for the three fastest cars,
there were also certificates for "Best Design" and "Most
Imaginative" and "Best Detailing" and lots more.
