religious services
Days and times:
Friday nights at 7 p.m.;
Saturday mornings: P'skei d'Zimra at 9:30 a.m.; Torah service at 10:30 a.m.;
Torah discussion at 11:30 a.m.
Most services are predominantly in Hebrew. Transliterations and sheet music are available. Services on
Fri. and Sat. are followed by Kiddush -- an opportunity for worshippers to meet one another.
Services are characterized by enthusiastic congregational participation and singing.
Services are led by members of the congregation under the guidance of the Rabbi.
Shabbat morning services include a Torah study discussion rather than a sermon. It's not necessary to come at 9:30 -- if you're not accustomed to a 3-hour Shabbat morning service, why not come to the part that interests you? We'll be happy to see you no matter when you show up...
Children are welcomed in our community and encouraged to participate during services.
The Learning Center accepts children from the age of 2 years, and has classes every Saturday morning at 11:00.
All services and education activities take place at the Synagogue (115 Park Ave.) or The Kaplan Learning Center (117-119 Park Ave.).
