Slichot Eve: Film "Elie Wiesel in Concert"

8:00 PM - 11:30 PMElie Wiesel z"l, who died in July 2016, is recognized as one of the great teachers, writers and moral leaders of the 20th century. He was one of the first to write about his experiences as a survivor of the Shoah. Awarding him the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986, the Nobel Committee called him a "messenger to mankind" with a message of "of peace, atonement and human dignity." Join us for a film of his 2010 musical performance (the only such performance of his career) of the Jewish music of his childhood, together with stories and excerpts from his most famous lectures, followed at 10pm by the Slichot service to welcome the High Holy Day season.
