Elissa has been a member of USH since 2001, when she discovered a synagogue around the corner from her apartment that combined all of her favorite aspects of Jewish life. Now, she and her family members can be found at USH attending the Learning Center, programs for young children, and holiday celebrations. Elissa joined the USH board in 2011.
Myrna has been a member of USH since the early 90's and a member of the Board of Trustees almost as long. She has held many different offices on the Board, but working with finance enables her to contribute her skills in logic and math, and her willingness to examine everything on a detailed level. Before retiring about 6 years ago, Myrna worked for IBM, Telelogic, and Popkin Software, designing computer systems that enable rationalization of business practices. She lived in Israel, France, and Japan for many years, before returning to the US in the early 70's.
