The NJ Energy Choice Program gives all NJ Residents and Business Owners the right to choose the company from which they purchase their electricity. You will still be a customer of your current Utility (i.e. PSE&G) and they will continue to service your account in case of an emergency (power outage) and delivery the electricity directly to your home or business. The only difference is that you now can choose who supplies electricity for your home or business.
Viridian is a Third Party Supplier that has been approved by the NJ Board of Public Utilities (regulatory authority with a statutory mandate to ensure safe, adequate, and proper utility services at reasonable rates for customers in New Jersey) whose products have a higher GREEN content then the 3 Largest NJ Public Utility Companies (PSE&G, JCP&L and ACE).
USH has a new Fundraising program through Viridian Energy. For every household or business that exercises their right to choose their electricity supplier, switches to Viridian Energy through USH, USH will earn residual income. The more households and/or businesses that switch under USH, the more residual income USH can earn.

Viridian offers Green Electricity to NJ Customers;- With no contract, no credit check and no fee to switch.
- Two products with more Green content than the Public Utility. You can choose from:
- a. Everyday Green- 20% Green content.
- b. Pure Green- 100% Green E-Certified Wind. The Public Utilities' electricity product is 6-7% Green.
- Your current utility will continue to service you in the event of a power outage.
- You will continue to receive ONE bill from your current utility. The Viridian charges will be on that bill.
- Every month you will see the savings on your bill, as the Public Utility is required by State Law to print on every bill what you would have paid had you NOT switched and purchased the electricity from them.
How do I sign up?
- Log onto http://www.viridian.com/ush
- Click on "Become a Customer" on the top right hand side of the Home Page
- Fill in the information. (Your name has to be input EXACTLY as it appears on your bill. For example, if there is a middle initial, input your middle initial. If not the application will be rejected)
- Decide if you want to switch to Everyday Green 20% Renewable or Pure Green 100% Green E-Certified Wind.
Be sure you have your Utility Bill with you. You will be asked to input the POD ID # that starts with PE (found in the Electric section of your bill). Please be sure that you don't put in the PG # (that is your GAS ID #)
